Conduct

Encourage your child to learn the rules and participate within them

Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results

Always ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the activity and has plenty to drink. All jewellery must be removed before class, and hair tied back neatly

Endeavour to establish good communications with the club and coaches and please share any concerns or complaints about any aspect of the club through the approved channels (speak to the Head Coach after class)

The gallery and bar area are available during classes for parents to view – parents must not stay in the Dojo unless agreed by a member of staff, as this distracts the children. Please leave the gallery and bar as you find them and do not allow the children to climb on the furniture

Baby changing facilities are provided in the disabled toilet

Ensure pre-school children have had a drink before the class and visited the toilet

All children must change in the changing rooms, gallery or bar area, then wait quietly in the ‘coaches room’ adjacent to the changing rooms to be called onto the floor. Once in the Dojo, please remove shoes and line up against the whiteboard wall when called onto the floor. Shoes must be worn outside the Dojo

Please ensure that children from the 4 and 5 o’clock classes do not enter the Dojo until it is time for their class to start, as the noise from their arrival disturbs the previous class and compromises safety. Children from these classes will be sent upstairs at the end of their class for collection

We ask for talking to be kept to a minimum by children and parents in the Dojo, as this disturbs the current class

No smoking, drinking or eating is allowed in the Dojo

Always collect your child promptly at the end of a session

We want you to be able to photograph your child should you wish and so we have a simple form, available from the desk, which when completed and photo ID shown will allow you to take photos/videos

You will receive a form confirming your child’s allotted class approximately 4 weeks before the end of term. To ensure your child receives a place the following term, please fill in the form and return with cheques by the date stated or their place will be allocated to a child from the waiting list

Any badges your child has achieved during the term will be confirmed with a form and can be purchased by returning the slip attached, with payment, to the desk. The badge and certificate will then be presented to the child in front of the class in the last two weeks of term

Never force your child to take part in sport, but support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport
